2009 Sports Cartoons

This was the year of relocation for me as this cartoonist moved from Montreal to Hamilton. It meant that the schedule got a little wonky and the 2008 comic archive a little thinner than recent years.

Highlights of this year for me (at least so far) are the Hockey Night in Canada theme song fiasco, another tell-all book by Jose Canseco about steroid abuse in major league baseball, and of course the whole Mats Sundin / Toronto Maple Leafs drama. Let's not forget about Plaxico Burress shooting himself in the thigh, Sean Avery's "Sloppy Seconds" comments or OJ Simpson getting sentenced to prison!
