About Small Market Sports Comics

In the remote regions of eastern Canada sits the great city of Small Market, home to many struggling pro sports franchises, each with their own disenchanted and frustrated fan base. In Small Market, however, it's not only the fans that are unhappy with their professional sports teams' performances on and off the field (or ice, as the case may be) -- the sports equipment isn't all too jazzed about it either!

Each week sports fans and comic readers alike are invited to cheer on Small Market Sports' unique brand of satire and tongue-in-cheek commentary inspired from current sports headlines. If you like your cartoons and comic strips to be infused with football jokes, hockey humor and baseball satire then Small Market Sports is the sports comic strip you've been scouting the web for!

About The Cartoonist Behind the Sports Cartoons

Born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, cartoonist Bill Charbonneau first created Small Market Sports in 2002 (then called Montreal Voices) in heartbroken reaction to MLB Commissioner Bud Selig announcing plans to contract of the Minnesota Twins and the Montreal Expos but soon realized (after the pain of losing the Expos subsided) that making sports comics was in his blood.

In addition to Small Market Sports, Bill Charbonneau is also the creator of the single panel comic Voices in my Hand and publisher/editor of the now defunct Zoinks! Magazine.
